For my first Kultur I read the articles "Take it from a German: How not to die on German roads."
I found this article to be quite scary but entertaining. I went to New York a year ago and had a horrible experience driving in the city, it ranged from road rage to an hour of looking for cheap parking. I love traveling and experiencing culture shocks, but after reading this article if I ever besuch Deutschland ich will fahren nicht in der Stadt. I will gladly take the advice of a German.
The second article  read was the "Bargain Buys: No-Frills Shopping, German Style" I was really surprise to see how cheap supermarkets are in Germany, just for the simple fact that one of the stores is Aldi. When I was younger, my parents would shop there once in a while and it brings back good childhood memories. I remember always wanting to insert the quarter inside the cart and pack our groceries in boxes. I never recall having a bad experience in Aldi, so this article really surprised me.
