For the article "Draftophobia" I was surprised to learn that this fear of drafts is so common in Germany. I am glad that this phobia is not common in the US; I cannot imagine being unable to feel a breeze or drive with the windows down just because of this. While this phobia may seem odd to many non-German inhabitants, I'm sure that there are things that we do that may seem odd to non-Americans. It was interesting to learn about some of the illnesses that are only present in Germany or are only not deadly in Germany. I think it is a good thing that Germans try to avoid antibiotics and other drugs meant to help cure sicknesses since overexposure to these drugs can be harmful or cause immunity, making it harder each time to get over the sickness. I have heard of the Germans' obsession with saunas, and I liked that people of all different social status can merge together with the use of the saunas. For the article on college life, I think that I would not want to be in college up to my thirties but I would rather move on to the next phase in my life, even though it is very fun and exciting.
